Set against the backdrop of harvest in Rutherford, Napa Valley, guests will gather around a grand harvest table for a thoughtfully curated experience featuring exceptional wines, extraordinarily inventive cuisine, and meaningful conversation. James Beard Award-winning Chef Rogelio Garcia will present a four-course culinary journey inspired by the season’s finest ingredients, thoughtfully crafted in dialogue with the artistic expressions of both ceramicist Adán Paredes and Winemaker Jeff Cole. Live music will provide the soundtrack to an afternoon designed to foster connection, celebrate creativity and a shared appreciation for craftsmanship, artistry, and excellence.

Throughout the event, guests will have the opportunity to engage with world-renowned ceramic artist Adán Paredes, whose work reflects a lifelong dedication to craftsmanship and creative expression. Joining him will be Sullivan Rutherford Estate’s Winemaker Jeff Cole, whose own artistry takes shape in the vineyard and cellar in order to produce the most iconic expressions of Rutherford Merlot and Cabernet. Throughout the afternoon, guests will enjoy a curated selection of wines, including a limited preview of an unreleased bottling of our Family Reserve available exclusively for this celebration.

Harvest is a season that reminds us that the  most meaningful experiences are rarely created alone. They emerge through patience, collaboration, dedication, perseverance, and a shared commitment to excellence. This celebration brings together three distinct forms of artistry –  winemaking, creative cuisine, and one-of-a-kind visual expressions for an unforgettable afternoon among friends.

Meet the Artists

Adán Paredes

Maestro Ceramista

Adán Paredes has spent more than 40 years in conversation with clay — its texture, its weight, its relationship to the ancient world. An archaeologist, sculptor, and contemporary abstract ceramicist based in Oaxaca, Paredes works from a place of deep material knowledge, drawing on the symbolism of earth, light, and pre-Columbian cosmogony to create pieces that are as much about space as they are about form. His work has been exhibited across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, and each piece is built around a singular question: how does an object speak to the room it inhabits?

Chef Rogelio Garcia

Chef Rogelio Garcia has spent his career working alongside some of the most celebrated culinary talents in the country — and earning recognition of his own. Most recently, he was awarded a Michelin star just eight months after opening Auro at the Four Seasons Napa Valley and has been shortlisted for the James Beard Foundation’s Best Chef in California. He is a published author of “Convivir”, which won the James Beard Foundation Media award. His cooking draws on a personal story rooted in Mexico  and shaped by Napa, always returning to the table as a place of gathering.

Jeff Cole

Jeff has made it his mission to prove that Napa Valley Merlot, planted on the right soils, farmed with the best agricultural practices and made with the right winemaking techniques, can rival the best in the world. He’s spent over a decade putting that conviction into practice at Sullivan Rutherford Estate, joining the winery in 2013 after years in the Napa Valley producing wines at Schramsberg and J. Davies Vineyards. A Cal Poly San Luis Obispo graduate in Wine and Viticulture, Jeff brings that vision to the harvest celebration this September, showcasing a Rubenesque and pleasurable Merlot built on structure, restraint, and place.
