Building the Next Chapter of Sullivan

Every meaningful pursuit begins with a belief.

From Vision to Foundation

We are in the middle of the most important transformation in our fifty-year history. What we are building isn’t just a winery — it’s a reset of what precision in Napa Valley can look like.

Since 1972, that pursuit has shaped every decision at Sullivan Rutherford Estate — which rows to plant, how long to age a vintage, when to hold a wine back until it’s ready. The new winery taking shape on our Rutherford Estate continues that pursuit. Guided by Winemaker Jeff Cole and seven years of planning, every space has been designed to give our winemaking team greater precision and control, without losing the character of the vineyards that inspired the project in the first place.

This chapter is about rebirth: a new era that marries legacy with modern winemaking, architecture with purpose, and passion with long-term vision. We are not constructing a building. We are building the next fifty years of Sullivan.

Wine has always brought people together. While our family residence remains the heart of hospitality at Sullivan, the new winery will extend that experience — a place for guests to engage more directly with the craft, the people, and the passion behind every bottle.
